The daughter of the late Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Funminiyi Afuye, has married her heartthrob, Babatunde Adebayo.
The marriage, on Saturday, comes four days after the sudden demise of her father, who suffered cardiac arrest.
According to information made available by the Ekiti State Government, Afuye was not ill before the sudden cardiac arrest.
He died while undergoing treatment at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
He was preparing for the wedding, as confirmed by his colleague Speakers, when he died.
The wedding went ahead as planned in Lagos though the atmosphere was sombre.
The couple held an engagement ceremony at the Haven Event Centre before heading to church for holy solemnisation at Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral, Ikeja, GRA, Lagos.
Reception followed at the Haven Event Centre.
