Nigeria Decides: PDP, APC Agents Clash In Funke Akindele’s Polling Unit

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) agents are said to have clashed during the voting process at polling unit 019, Ita Aro square, ga/Ijimu ward in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The polling unit is where Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deputy governorship candidate Funke Akindele voted at around 12.16 p.m.

According to reports, the conflict between the two groups occurred when an INEC assistant presiding officer closed the voting process at 3.30 p.m. The APC agent, who was dissatisfied with the outcome, insisted on voting continuing.

A PDP agent, who did not want voting to continue, yelled insults at an APC representative.

Both parties are still engaged in a verbal duel as of the time of making this report.
Earlier, Akindele’s presence elicited angry protests from the audience, which requested that the PDP candidate join the queue.
But, Akindele prevailed through the dramatic rallies and cast her ballots just after noonday.
Following her vote, the entertainer/politician was hurriedly led by two staffers to her QX56 Infinity SUV, which had covered plate numbers.
