His Excellency, the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde visited the Vice Chancellor Prof Adebowale to sympathize with the University Community on the incident of fire that razed down part of the building of the Department of Statistics .

His Excellency announced a personal donation of twenty five millionaire naira (N25, 000,000) only towards the rehabilitation of the burnt building . On the Governor’s entourage are the Deputy Governor Barrister Bayo Lawal, honorable commissioner for Public Works and Transport Prof D K Shangodoyin and Pro Chancellor and Chairman governing Council OF LAUTECH, Prof AYODEJI Omole.
