BREAKING: FEAR OF ARREST: CBN Governor, Emefiele Shows up at House of Representatives

Against the backdrop of the threat to issue warrant of arrest on the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele by Speaker, House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila, if the CBN governor failed to appear before the special ad-hoc committee of the House investigating the cashless policy of the CBN and the deadline set for the old bank notes, at about 12pm on Tuesday, the CBN Governor walked into the House of Representatives Hearing Room 301.


In a short remarks, the Leader House of Representatives Alhassan Ado Doguwa said for the fact that the house invited the ‘man of the moment’ for the first time but he wrote back for not being able to come, same second time and now for the third time he has appeared, such gesture indicates a victory for democracy, victory for Nigerians, he went on to say the ad-hoc will not entertain any question outside the mandate of the House .
