Chidimma Adetshina, a 23-year-old law student and model, has emerged as the winner of the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant.
This comes after her withdrawal from the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant due to xenophobic backlash over her nationality.
Adetshina represented Taraba State in the competition, which saw 25 participants vying for the top spot.
Guy Murray-Bruce, President of Silverbird Group, announced her as the winner at the grand finale held at Ekp Hotels & Suites in Lagos on Saturday night.
As the winner, Adetshina will receive a cash prize of N10 million, along with other prizes. She will also represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico this November.
This victory marks a triumphant return for Adetshina, who was previously forced to withdraw from a beauty pageant due to xenophobic backlash.
