EFCC arrests 12 Bureau de Change operators in Ibadan

Some operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have raided offices of some Bureau de Change operators in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

According to Daily Post, EFCC, during the raid, arrested no fewer than twelve operators, with shops in the Sabo area.

Sabo is a community in Ward 6 in Ibadan North local government area and is dominated by northerners.

The source said, “They arrested 12 people. They came around 10-11 am”.

Chairman of the Bureau de change operators, Aminu Ibrahim Babankande has also confirmed the development.

Babankande, in a telephone conversation with the news medium said, he is still investigating the number of people arrested.

He said, “I don’t know the number now. We are still investigating.

“We are ready to cooperate with the government “.
