Former President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, has included songs by Nigerian musicians, Davido, Burna Boy Asake and Tems in his favourite music of 2023 list.
Obama unveiled the list via his ‘X’ handle on Friday evening.
Sharing the playlist, Obama wrote, “Here are some of my favourite songs from this year. Let me know if there are any artists or songs I should check out.”
The Nigerian music stars joined other superstars Megan Thee Stallion, Beyonce, Victoria Monet and 6LACK on the playlist that comprises both classic and new records.
Recall this is not the first time either Burna Boy or Ayra Starr had featured on Obama’s playlist with ‘Last Last’ and ‘Rush’ making the cut in 2022.
