The embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has urged the Supreme Court of Nigeria to uphold the ruling of the Appeal Court discharging and acquitting him of all terror-related charges, ABN TV reports.

Kanu through his lead counsel, Kanu Godwin Agabi SAN told the court that his client is innocent of the allegations against him, urging the court to free him.

The prosecuting counsel however urged the court to set aside the court of appeal judgement and allow Nnamdi Kanu to stand trial for the previous charges held at the Federal high court against him.
