In what looks like relationship turned sour, Oyo workers on Monday morning besieged the entrance of the state secretariat protesting over non-payment of salary deductions arrears and subsequent payment of full salary by the ‘Seyi Makinde administration.
Our Media recalls that the government had enjoyed support of the workers, even when workers were not supposed to show love.
In their hundreds, the workers had stormed the frontage of the secretariat as early as 7 am forcing security agents attached to the facility to shut the gate.
Our Media had reported how the workers last Thursday met on the decision.
The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, in a statement yesterday said it is meeting Thursday morning at 7:45 am.
According to the union, the response of the government to their ultimatum does not address their demands.
