His Excellency,Eng.Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde : IMPLEMENTATION OF 2020 GOVERNMENT WHITE PAPER BY THE GOVERNING COUNCIL OF THE OKE-OGUN POLYTECHNIC, SAKI LED BY BARRISTER LATEEF SARAFADEEN ABIOLA (ONIJO)

THE OKE-OGUN POLYTECHNIC SAKI JOINT ACTION COMMITTEE

His Excellency,
Eng.Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde,
The Executive Governor of Oyo State,
State Secretariat, Ibadan.

Dear Sir,
IMPLEMENTATION OF 2020 GOVERNMENT WHITE PAPER BY THE GOVERNING COUNCIL OF THE OKE-OGUN POLYTECHNIC, SAKI LED BY BARRISTER LATEEF SARAFADEEN ABIOLA (ONIJO)
The Joint Action Committee of the three staff Unions (ASUP, SSANIP and NASU) at The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic Saki, is using this medium to express our appreciation to you for your immediate intervention that led to the implementation of the government’s “White Paper” meant to reposition and restore the Institution to the path of peace, glory, excellence and progress. Also, our gratitude is extended to the Governing Council of the Institution, led by Barrister Lateef Sarafadeen Abiola (Onijo), for upholding integrity, fairness and justice as well as working within the framework and vision of the Governor and Government of Oyo State to make The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki the best.
Sir, it will be recalled that the Governing Council, led by Professor Sunday Adesola Ajayi, was inaugurated on July 7, 2020 with the responsibility to make the Institution a peaceful, progressive and enviable one. Also, the government gave specific directives on the “White Paper” released by the State Executive Council. However, the leadership of Professor Sunday Adesola Ajayi worked parallel to the interests of the State’s government and compounded the woes of the Institution in all ramifications, while the mandate assigned to him on the White Paper was thrown away in contravention and antithesis to the Oyo State Government decision for more than 24 months of his leadership position of the Governing Council.
Sir, it is not an overstatement to affirm that the appointment of Barrister Lateef Sarafadeen Abiola (Onijo) as the new Governing Council Chairman of this Institution (The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki) is a blessing to the entire Polytechnic Community. The Government White Paper, which was suppressed by
Professor Sunday Adesola Ajayi, has been fully implemented by this visionary Governing Council led by Barrister Lateef Sarafadeen Abiola (Onijo) on April 19, 2023 and as a result, returned light and life into The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki.
Again, while appreciating the Governor and the Governing Council, the Unions still appeal to His Excellency, Engineer ‘Seyi Makinde and the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology to investigate Professor Sunday Adesola Ajayi for sabotaging the government not only on the White Paper but also, during his reign in The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki as the Governing Council Chairman.
Kindly accept the assurances of our highest regards as we are wishing you more successes.
Thank you, Sir.                                                              …………………………..…………………………………………………………………                                      ……………………………………………………………………………………………
